Frequently asked questions

Clear answers, no legalese.

What CourtRoom AI is, what it isn't, and how to get the most out of it before you go to court.

What is CourtRoom AI?
CourtRoom AI is a preparation tool. You describe your situation, upload evidence, and AI courtroom agents simulate arguments, objections, and a structured report so you know your strengths, weaknesses, and what to ask a real lawyer.
Is CourtRoom AI a lawyer?
No. CourtRoom AI is not a law firm, not a lawyer, and does not provide legal advice. It's an educational preparation tool designed to help you organize your thinking before you speak with a licensed attorney.
Can I use AI to prepare for court?
Yes. Using AI to prepare is legitimate and increasingly common — CourtRoom AI lets you rehearse arguments, find weak points, and organize evidence before a hearing. It's preparation and education, not legal advice, and does not replace a licensed attorney.
Can AI represent me in court?
No. AI cannot represent you in court — only a licensed attorney can, or you may represent yourself. CourtRoom AI handles the preparation step before court: it simulates the hearing so you walk in organized, then helps you find a real lawyer when you need one.
Is this legal advice?
No. Reports, simulations, and jurisdiction references are informational and educational only. They do not create an attorney-client relationship. See the AI Legal Disclaimer for details.
Can I use the report in court?
The report is a preparation document. It is not a court filing, a sworn statement, or a substitute for legal advice. Bring it to a licensed attorney — the report is designed to help you ask sharper questions during your first consultation.
How accurate is the simulation?
The simulation pressure-tests your facts using courtroom-style reasoning, but AI can make mistakes. Treat the output as a thinking aid, not a prediction. Always verify legal rules and deadlines with official sources or a licensed attorney.
What are jurisdiction references?
Where available for your selected location, reports include informational references to statutes, court guidance, or procedural notes. These references can be incomplete or out-of-date — see Supported Jurisdictions.
Can CourtRoom AI find me a lawyer?
Yes — the report includes a nearby lawyer discovery section so you can move from AI preparation to human legal help. CourtRoom AI does not endorse or guarantee any specific lawyer. See Lawyer Network.
What is the Evidence Vault?
A private workspace where you upload screenshots, contracts, receipts, photos, messages, and notes. The vault feeds the simulation so the AI argues against your actual evidence — not a generic case template. Learn more.
Are my uploads private?
Yes — uploads are stored in a private workspace for your account and used only to generate your simulations and reports. We do not publicly share user files. See Data & Security and Privacy Policy.
Can AI make mistakes?
Yes. AI can misstate facts, miss recent legal changes, or apply the wrong rule. Always verify critical points with a licensed attorney before acting.
What kinds of cases can I test?
Civil disputes, small claims, landlord-tenant, employment, consumer protection, contracts, and similar civil-side preparation are the sweet spot. CourtRoom AI is not built for active criminal defense — those situations need a licensed attorney immediately.
Can I delete my information?
Yes — contact us at support@courtroomai.io if you'd like your case data deleted. We aim to delete promptly subject to any legal retention obligations on payment records.
Do I need a subscription?
No. CourtRoom AI is one-time pricing per case purchase. See Pricing.
What happens after I run a case?
You get a structured preparation report you can read, share, or bring to a lawyer. You can also rerun the case on the remaining credits in your purchase, edit the facts, and try again.
Can lawyers use CourtRoom AI?
Yes — it's designed as a structured intake tool: clients arrive with a written summary, a timeline, and evidence tagged by claim. We're actively partnering with attorneys and firms during launch — get in touch for early access or a pilot.
Important
For active legal emergencies, court deadlines, or criminal matters, contact a licensed attorney immediately. CourtRoom AI is a preparation tool, not an emergency legal service.
